A Valentine for Martha Oberholtzer

On February 13, 1926, Martha Gill sent a valentine postcard to her cousin, Miss Martha Oberholtzer of Manheim, PA.

The postcard, featuring an illustration of a young woman perched precariously atop a large heart, bears the legend, “Trust in Me My Valentine”.

The postcard was published by “Whitney Made” of Worcester, Massachusetts.

The valentine was postmarked in Ephrata, PA.

After noting the lack of previous correspondence, Martha Gill reports that they are having lots of snow and rain in Ephrata.

Martha expects that Martha Oberholtzer is experiencing the same in Manheim.

Ephrata and Manheim are towns in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

One hopes that the two girls named Martha enjoyed the exchange of Valentines in 1926.
