Mr. Clark Kishpaugh lived in Hackettstown, a town in Warren County of north-central New Jersey.
The home to various industries in the 19th century, Hackettstown is home to a large plant of the Mars Corporation today.

In April of 1909, Clark received an Easter postcard from Geo. B.
George mailed the postcard from Montrose, a borough and the county seat of Susquehanna County in northeast Pennsylvania.
This area was settled by immigrants from New York and New England who sought land after the American Revolution.

The face of the postcard is dominated by a drawing of a very bright, very lustrous, red egg.
The egg is cradled by ribbons and suspended from a bough of dogwood blossoms.
A butterfly and a bee are feasting on the pink flowers.
In red letters, the message, “Easter Greetings” is printed beside the scene.
The postcard was printed in Europe.
On the reverse, the sender writes only – “from Geo. B.”
The brevity of the inscription deprives us of any clues about the relationship of George to Cark.
We can see that Clark preserved the bright postcard in very good condition throughout his life.
One hopes that they, and those associated with them, enjoyed a wonderful Easter.
