We have seen numerous examples of postcard reminders about Sunday School or invitations to join Sunday School events:
“George Glick Misses Sunday School”, “Hazel Misses Sunday School”, “Nelson Celebrates in Shrewsbury”,” Dick Receives an Invitation”, “May Your Life Be Useful”, “The Cure for Loneliness”, and many more.
This humorous Sunday School invitation was not mailed, and I am not certain of the provenance.
Based on the postcard design and printing style, I believe it is circa 1950, but it could have been made ten years earlier or later than that date.

On the face, we see an ordinary man with glasses, wearing a green suit and brown shoes, riding a unicycle.
In his hand, the cyclist is carrying a Bible or Prayer Book.
The sober and respectable appearance of the rider contrasts with the uncommon mode of transportation.
Below the drawing, the printed title invites:
“Come any way you can but come TO SUNDAY SCHOOL”

On the reverse, there is an alpha-numerical code, but I was not certain that this is an indication of the publisher:
“No. 130 BR Press”
An internet search reveals other Sunday School materials published by “BR Press”, including this postcard that I remember from Sunday School or Bible School:

The postcard image of the man on a unicycle was lithographed in the United States.
It is not clear if this postcard invitation was part of a reserve of postcards used by a diligent Sunday School Teacher or Superintendent or if an individual had collected the postcard due to the amusing subject matter.
In recent years, I have found bundles of unused Sunday School postcards for sale with lots of old paper – suggesting that many churches have ceased the practice of sending postcards.
