Roses to John Herr

In February of 1907, John Herr received a postcard from an unknown correspondent in Lancaster, PA. The postcard displays a bouquet of roses and is addressed to John R. Herr in “Millerville”, Lancaster County.

I assume that this is Millersville, unless readers know of a “Millerville” location. There are records of numerous John Herrs in 1907, including more than one in the Millersville area.

One wonders if this was a valentine to a young man, a friendly greeting from an old friend, or some other circumstance.

This postcard resembles postcards pre-1906; there is no message inscribed on the reverse.
