The Sorbonne

View of the Sorbonne

For Bastille Day, a vintage postcard scene from France.

The sepia-toned photograph of Paris, with an ornamental fountain and distant view of the Pantheon, was printed in France about 1950.

The postcard was mailed to Elizabethtown, PA in 1953.

I love Paris; I love the large and diverse country of France; I have stood in the place from which this photograph was made.

We can all remember with gratitude the critical assistance that the French nation offered to our colonial struggle for independence.

Liberty, Equality, Fraternity!

Vive La France!
