Travel to Mount Rainier – circa 1924
I love to travel by train and consider it the best way to become familiar with our large country.
When I traveled for business, I was glad of assignments in the northeast corridor so that I could travel by train.
Before the quarantine began, I had planned to use some of my Amtrak points for travel this Spring.
For the time being, I can admire the postcard advertisements for rail travel that were circulated in the 1920’s.
This view of Mount Rainier was published by the Union Pacific Railroad which operated two trains daily to Ranier National Park.
The postcard photograph was hand-tinted; the postcard was not mailed.
