Ada Sends a Winter Scene – Lititz, PA (1906)

This postcard photograph was mailed between two communities in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Miss F. Grace Bear lived in East Petersburg, and she was celebrating a birthday.

On March 13, 1906, she received a postcard from Ada N. Franck of Lititz.

The postcard bore a photograph, not colored, of a winter lake and snow-dusted trees.

Published by the Rotograph Company of New York, the postcard was printed in Germany.

Part of the “Winter Series”, the postcard photograph does not appear to reflect a local scene.

(The communities of Lititz and East Petersburg, experienced very frigid temperatures over this Christmas Day- there was no snow, however.)

One hopes that Miss Bear enjoyed her birthday and remained a friend and correspondent of Ada.
