Celebration of February 22

February 22

I am engaged in a solitary crusade to restore separate birthday celebrations for Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

Here is a postcard, circa 1905, that was exchanged in celebration of Washington’s Birthday.

The reverse is undivided, confirming that it was printed before 1906.

Not mailed, the reverse has “Clark” written in a large, childish hand and “to Ward”, written in the same hand.

The postcard was part of a collection of Lancaster County memorabilia made by a man in Ephrata. PA

I assume the postcard was given by a child to a childhood friend or classmate.
