Miss Esther Martin at Martin’s Drug Store – 1907

Martin’s Drug Store was located on East Chestnut Street in Lancaster, PA.

(This handsome building has now been subdivided into eight apartments.)

Miss Esther Martin, perhaps related to the proprietor, lived or worked there.

One week after St. Valentine’s Day, on February 21, 1907, Miss Martin received a postcard from her friend, Beckie, also in Lancaster.

The face of the postcard features two affectionate children, amid vines of ivy, on a bright red field.

The handsome card was printed in the United States by an unidentified publisher.
