The Valentine Skater

The Valentine Skater -1926

On February 12, 1926, Vera Wenzel sent a postcard valentine to her teacher, Miss Verna Graybill.

Miss Graybill had been ill, and absent from the school.

Vera hoped that her teacher was recovering and would soon return to the classroom.

The postcard features an Art Deco design of an ice skater, entitled “A Lonely Valentine”.

A short verse encourages the exchange of hearts after one was given to the other.

Miss Verna Graybill lived in Leola, PA; I cannot distinguish the originating post office from the partially-obscured postmark.
