I am not sure what occasion is memorialized in this picture, perhaps a groom and best man at a wedding celebration.
The postcard photograph was made by the studio named “Chatelain” in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
I was struck by the quality of the photograph; the faces are half-lighted, yet clearly visible.
Another reminder that photographs, especially good studio portraits, very often out-live the subjects.
Do annotate your photographs with names, dates, and locations.
It would be great to have any clues about the lives of these young men who celebrated some event more than 110 years ago.
