Nellie Fisher lived on a rural delivery route outside Pittstown, New Jersey.
Pittstown is an historic village in Hunterdon County of west-central New Jersey.

In November of 1907, Nellie received an Art Postcard from Frank O.
The postcard was mailed from Pittstown, so we may assume that Frank was a neighbor or nearby friend.
The postcard offers no clues about the relationship between Frank and Nellie.

The face of the postcard is a delightful drawing of a child on a sled.
The child is sharing the sled with a plump and contented-looking cat.
The boy has a protective arm around the feline friend.
I believe that the child is a boy, due to the trousers.
In 1907, it would be very unusual for a girl to be wearing pants, even for winter recreation.
The charming scene is entitled, “Friends”.
There are marks on the lower border of the print which might be a printed copyright or a publisher’s name.
I am unable to interpret the marks, however.
Nellie preserved the postcard throughout her life.
One hopes that she and Frank maintained a friendly correspondence for many years.
