The Ladies Raise a Glass

The Ladies Raise a Glass – celebration on June 14, 1911

I wish I knew more about this stately al fresco event.

More than a dozen women in summer dresses, mostly white, posed outdoors holding glasses aloft.

Several children are seated on the ground in the foreground, but I believe there was only one young boy in the group.

I have attached a scan of the entire postcard in the Comments; I hoped that the sign for a lumber company (in the background) might assist me to identify the location of the celebration.

Unfortunately, I have not been successful.

This could be a gathering related to Flag Day, but I am not sure.

A graduation, a reunion, a women’s organization for professional or charitable purposes, an impending wedding… if only the ladies could tell us.
