A Sunday Visit to Mexico

A Sunday Visit to Mexico – 1938

On January 28, 1938, a friend of Virginia McAllister was again in Nogales, Mexico.

I posted another postcard sent to Miss McAllister in 1939.

The earlier postcard featured a landscape by the same artist who created the illustration below.

Both postcards were mailed from Nogales, Mexico – one year apart.

Virginia lived in Glendale, Arizona where she received the postcard mailed from Nogales.

The postcard features original art printed and published in Mexico.

The artist’s signature is visible in the lower right.

I like the boldly colored scene of a village, the church tower in the distance.

A lone villager rides on a burro ambling through the quiet street.
