Aunt Nellie Sends a Picture of “Alfie’s Boy” – circa 1910

Sometime around 1910, Aunt Nellie sent a picture of a boy; the postcard photograph was probably enclosed in a letter- it was not mailed.

On the reverse, Aunt Nellie writes, “1 year last June” and “Alfie’s boy”.

She underlines the name of the boy, “Allin Eugene”.

Just a small amount of additional information would help us learn more about the life of the boy.

I am not sure if it is possible to search a database of all men named Alfred, Alphonse, Alvin, etc. to see if they had a son named “Allin Eugene”.

One hopes that the bright-eyed boy had a happy and secure childhood in the early twentieth century.
