Nashville – 1922

Nashville – Shopping in 1922

In March of 1922, George was passing through the city, en route to Washington.

He mailed a postcard from the train station to Mrs. Shaffner in Charlotte, N.C.

The hand-tinted postcard photograph shows the retail establishments along a length of Fifth Avenue looking north from Church Street.

I believe that the dome of the Capital Building is visible in the background. (I sometimes stayed in hotels in this area.)

One hopes that George enjoyed his visit to this exciting city.
