Spooning in Smoketown

Suggestive comic postcards were common in the early years of the 20th century.

Enterprising printers could order blank templates and add the name of the local town, such as “Smoketown”.

This postcard was not mailed, so there are no clues to the buyer or collector.

Was Smoketown a notorious “make-out” area, or did it feature a “lover’s lane”?
