The Old St. Paul’s Church in York, PA (1916)

In 1916, Mr. Clayton Stehman was living at 528 South Queen Street in Lancaster.

During September of that year, Anna was visiting the city of York.

On September 4, Anna mailed to Clayton a postcard picture of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at the corner of King and Beaver Streets in York.

According to the website of St. Paul’s Church (now at the corner of George Street and Spriggetsberry Avenue), the Church in this postcard photograph was destroyed by fire.

The hand-colored photograph was published by “Fair and Square” of York, Pa.

The house where Clayton lived, built in 1885, is still occupied.
