Miss Sarah Van Syckle lived in Hackettstown, a town on the banks of the Musconetcong River in north-central New Jersey.

Sarah had graduated from Hackettstown High School, and she was a member of the Alumni Association.

In May of 1924, Sarah received a postcard from the Class Secretary, Mildred Loder.

The postcard was printed by the US Postal Service and has a green, one-cent stamp featuring Thomas Jefferson.

The address was hand-written, but the message on the reverse was typed.

Perhaps Mildred, the Secretary, was employed in an office.

The typed message announces the annual meeting of the Alumni Association on May 6 at the High School.

It is unclear if this is a class reunion, or if the Alumni Association was an elected group representing the entire class.

In any case, one hopes that Miss Van Syckle was able to attend the meeting and that the event was an enjoyable one.
